About Renata Fortes

Visual Art is my passion.

Hi, my name is Renata Fortes. I have been working in the Internet industry since 1998 and have accumulated extensive marketing and design experience during this time.

Through my constant interest and passion for this field, I was self-taught to use HTML. After successfully completing my final high school year I developed my first, own website. It was through this website that I was offered a job as a Web Designer. After only a year in the industry and while I was studying for a Graphic Design degree at University, I joined a Cannes Lion Awarded Team at Thunder House McCann Erickson in Brazil to work as a Web Designer. In Brazil I worked for companies such as Grey Interactive, George Patterson Y&R 2.1 and Wunderman.

I came to Australia in 2004 to study English. Soon after, I married an Australian guy and now live in Melbourne. With my extensive experience gained in online media in Brazil, I was able to work in Australia for the same companies I worked for in Brazil. I have been working as a freelancer in Melbourne since 2008 and now I work for various companies. I’m specialised in online communication and I’m always searching for innovative interactive solutions.

I have always had a passion for photography, so after having kids I went back to school and achieved a diploma in Photo Imaging. I have concluded this course in early 2014. So, I’m now also a freelancer photographer.

I work mostly from my home based office or do emergency work for advertising agencies for one or two days a week. Today, I also have my own photographic studio.
